Run with Me in June!

A little over a month ago, I ran my first 10k!

Despite having run in high school track, taking a jogging class in college, consistently jogging for exercise over the past 20+ years, and even eventually becoming a trainer…somehow, I just never had gotten around to running a formal race!

I really enjoyed applying the same principles of progressive overload to slowly increasing my mileage over the several months of race preparation runs, and have been missing the miles!

So, it’s perfect timing to kick off the 💯 miles challenge for the month of June! I posted the tracker a couple of days ago if you are interested in joining me. 🥰 You can run, walk, or bike, and you pick your level:

Keep Moving: 100 miles - just keep moving! (mix of walking, running, biking) - feel free to count your existing movement like morning/evening walks, and then just add however much more you need to hit this goal! • Push Yourself: 100-200 miles - in addition to your regular movement(whatever that is for you going in! A mix of any form of miles is fine here, but if you find you're racking up the miles, consider pushing out to 150-200 miles for the month - be honest so that it's a challenge!) • Overachiever: 200-300+ miles - if you plan to bike, this will be a more appropriate challenge since the miles add up more quickly!

If you’ve been looking for a way to push yourself to get more cardio in, or you’re just feeling being outside more in the sun this summer, this is the perfect way to provide yourself with some gentle motivation / accountability towards that goal! I am personally going for the “push yourself” level as I’ve been enjoying running a bit every morning above my usual morning walk!

How about you - will you join the 💯 miles challenge in June?! 😍

Tracker can be found 2 posts ago-enjoy! ☺️
