40 Years, 4,000 Weeks, and One Epic Celebration 🎉🚢💙
Food, fitness, and fun with my best friend—what more could I ask for? 😍🥂
Booking Utopia of the Seas for a Getaway Joint-40th-Birthday Cruise made it ridiculously easy (and fun!) to:
- ✅stay on track with workouts (whether it was a great workout at their gym or sprinting up 18 flights of stairs for a spicy finisher 🔥),
- ✅ stick to adequate...(ok more than adequate) protein intake (hello seafood at Windjammer's Buffet, and excellent eats and service at every restaurant - we personally loved Mason Jar, Chops Grille, and Coastal Kitchen!)
- ✅enjoy incredible entertainment (Highlights: The Aqua80too show was next-level—80s jams and dancing + aerial acrobatics? Yes, please! 🤘, and soaking in some fun and sun during our Perfect Day at CocoCay 🌴✨)
But beyond all that, this trip, which we scheduled to fall right between our 40th birthdays, was a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate.
A couple of years ago, I read Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman - and it hit me: If we’re lucky enough to live to be 80, we get just over 4,000 weeks in a lifetime. That’s it. Time is the most valuable, nonrenewable resource we have.

At 40, I’m choosing to spend that limited resurce well. To mark and celebrate the halfway(ish) point with the person I love most. To appreciate where I’ve been and dream about what’s ahead. And to wake up every damn day living my version of a perfect day—whether I’m at CocoCay or just cozied up at home. 💫
