Summer So Far

Since we got home from Japan at the end of May, we've been making lots of plans for the future! 📆

Justin's been hard at work on a web app for my strength training business, Build with Becky. 🧑‍💻

I've been balancing the twin energies of approaching and avoiding the next phase of business development 🙈 
We're preparing to launch a new product to systematize and simplify the process of getting started and staying consistent with strength training! 🚀💪

While that all sounds very exciting, what it actually amounts to is simply waking up and putting in long hours of work each and every day and living a bit more in the future than in the now. 🤷‍♀️

I think all of this future-oriented thinking and planning may be why it felt so nice this weekend to sit down and do my 1 second everyday videos for the first time in quite a while. It was a lovely reminder of the PRESENT moment - summer 2024; here and now. I feel like I am in the calm before a potential storm of growing pains, with the rainbow of clarity and calm on the way. Each day I fight the urge to stay safe in the known and push myself a LITTLE more to get out of my comfort zone, to practice new skills, in the hopes of growing and serving new people in new ways while continuing to show up for those who have shown up for me along the way! ☔️🌈

All the little insignificant moments in these videos up to daily life - a workout here, a coffee there; meeting up with a friend now and then; a magical Disney day; getting all of the steps and miles and balancing it with equal amounts of rest and recovery - physically, mentally, and emotionally. Finding balance in an inherently imbalanced process of sprinting towards a finish line of sorts only to have that BECOME the new starting point. 💫

Gotta say though, I feel like the absolute luckiest lately, to get to wake up, work on something meaningful that helps other people and helps me take care of myself in the process, and with the support of a partner who is there by my side every step of the way. 😍
