The Power of Playing the Long Game đź’Ş

One year ago, Justin and I were sitting in front of a whiteboard, mapping out a vision for the Build with Becky app—just an idea, a plan, and a lot of determination. Today, 5 full programs have been delivered, and the ever-growing exercise library holds over 250 videos.

It’s wild to think about, but it’s also proof of a lesson I come back to over and over: we tend to overestimate what we can accomplish in a day or a week—but massively underestimate what we can achieve when we commit to something long-term.

Whether you’re building muscle, building a habit, or building a whole dang business, real progress isn’t about flashy, overnight wins. It’s about showing up, staying patient, and trusting that all those small efforts—day after day—are stacking up into something bigger.

Delayed gratification isn’t easy. It takes faith to keep working when the results don’t feel immediate. But give it time. Keep going. The progress will come, and when it does, it’ll be undeniable.
