The European Adventure Continues!

After saying goodbye to my sweet friend Laura in her dreamy Irish village last Monday, I caught an early train back to Dublin and then hopped a flight to Amsterdam.

The first night was quiet—rainy skies and a bit of travel tummy meant I stayed in and reset. But by morning, I was feeling ready to explore again. Hit a local Anytime Fitness (global access FTW 🙌) to get some movement in, then made my way to the Anne Frank House—an experience I’ll never forget.

10/10 recommend visiting, especially in the world we live in now. The echoes of history, the reminders of what happens when we forget our past patterns, or fail to speak up when we see them repeated, the resilience of a young girl and her story and words… it was humbling, powerful, and profoundly timely. 💗

From there, the trip turned brighter—literally and figuratively. I finally got hungry after nearly 24 hours without food and found exactly what I’d been craving: crispy Dutch frites with satay peanut sauce + mayo. (Magically, no stomach rebellion.) 🎉

The next morning, I explored one more incredible gym, a local one called ClubSportive (more soon on all the fun new equipment I got to try out 💪) before a quick transfer to Den Haag to visit BWB member and friend Mary for a couple of days!

The rest of the week we got lucky with lots of sunshine; I took a day trip to nearby Delft with its cute canals (and another anytime fitness), and we took a dreamy bike ride through the nearby Dutch dunes to a local beach on my last night before having ice cream for dinner! 🍦🤩 It was a short and sweet visit, but just enough to soak in some of the spirit of the Netherlands and get me excited to come back for more someday! 🇳🇱☀️
