6 months down; 6 months to go...
As I settle back into routine and life back home after a whirlwind season of travel, I had this really simple but powerful thought while reflecting on closing out June and looking at my calendar:
“I’m proud of how far I’ve come in the last few months."
That struck me, because I hadn't even realized until I paused that we are exactly 6 months into 2025: 6 months down; 6 months to go. Maybe you didn't notice either. Time has a way of sneaking up on us that way.
But here we are… halfway through the year. So I want to ask you something that most people rarely pause to consider:
Are you proud of how far you’ve come? 🤔
Not how far you still have to go, or what’s still unchecked on your to-do list.
But what you've done, built, navigated, or even just endured these past 6 months.
- 🧠 Maybe you finally got consistent with your workouts.
- 🥗 Maybe you started nourishing your body more intentionally.
- 🧘♀️ Maybe you learned to listen to your body instead of punishing it.
- 🌱 Or maybe you’ve just kept showing up, even when life made that hard.
That counts. That matters. That’s progress.
And if your instinct is to say “I haven’t done enough" or "I haven't made the progress I wanted to”... that’s okay too. In fat it's the perfect opportunity to add the word "yet" to the end of those thoughts -
- 🧠 "I haven’t done enough yet" or
- 🧠 "I haven't made the progress I want to yet"
Because guess what? The whole second half of the year is still wide open and yours to shape. Your year isn't over and you get to write the story of your next 6 months. A mid-year reset can be just the thing you and your future self need!
Here’s a quick mid-year check in:
- ✨Reflect: What’s something you’re genuinely proud of from Jan–June?
- 🎯Refocus: What would be meaningful to have accomplished by December?
- ✅Recommit: What’s one small step you can take today?
